Job Description

The Painting & Decorating apprenticeship is up to 4 years in conjunction with UHI Inverness.  You will work alongside our experienced team of painters and attend college in Inverness as required.  The programme leads to a SCQF Level 6 qualification in Painting & Decorating.

What do I do?

Working alongside our Estates team, to provide a preparation painting service to the site which includes the refurbishing of office, building and related structures with suitable coatings. 

The Training:

Over the apprenticeship:

  • Full time at Dounreay site
  • On the job training within our Estates team, assisting various projects across the Dounreay site
  • Inductions and additional training at UHI Inverness
  • Outward bound course

Requirements:

  • Minimum of National 4 or equivalent – Mathematics and a Technical subject
  • Good communication, team working & problem solving skills
  • Be able to demonstrate practical skills
  • Able to commute to the Dounreay site
