What you’ll be doing

You will provide high quality draughting support to engineers, producing accurate and compliant design outputs that support project delivery from concept through to completion.  Working closely with engineering colleagues, you will help resolve design challenges, contribute to technical documentation and ensure drawing standards and safety requirements are consistently met.  Other key deliverables are:

  • Produce detailed mechanical drawings and 3D models in line with regulatory and design standards
  • Support the development of design documentation, specifications and engineering deliverables
  • Contribute practical solutions to specific design and technical challenges
  • Support the resolution of technical queries and ensure drawing quality across design packages

What you’ll bring

You’ll be a motivated and detail focused draughtsperson with a solid engineering background and strong technical capability in mechanical design.  Comfortable working in a busy engineering environment, you’ll communicate effectively, manage your own quality checks and take pride in delivering accurate, reliable work.

  • An HNC in Engineering (or equivalent) with relevant draughting or design experience
  • Strong competence in AutoDesk tools, including AutoCAD and Inventor, for 2D and 3D design
  • Sound knowledge of mechanical engineering principles, drawing standards and the design process
  • Excellent attention to detail, communication skills and a strong understanding of safety requirements
  • Post specific physical capability analysis assessment
