Draughtsperson
Job Description
A vacancy has arisen within the design office, engineering delivery for a mechanical draughtsperson. The purpose of the post is to provide draughting support to engineers and the successful job holder will be responsible for delivering drawings and support to projects.
Main Responsibilities:
- Produce design drawings in compliance with the relevant regulations
- Assist with the generation of design documentation and specifications
- Provide solutions to specific design problems
- Assist senior draughtsperson to resolve technical queries
- Perform the responsibilities of management appointments relevant to post
Aptitudes and experience:
- HNC in Engineering or equivalent qualification plus experience in the draughting/design field
- Competent in the use of AutoDesk products including AutoCad and Inventor for the production of 3D models and drawings
- Have an in-depth knowledge of their own discipline and ability to interface effectively with other disciplines at all working levels
- Trade background in mechanical discipline desirable
- Knowledge of the design process, drawing process and drawing standards
- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings
- Technical experience gained within an engineering environment
- A sound understanding of safety requirements
- Good interpersonal, communication and presentation skills
- Be able to provide quality work, which is adequately self-checked to ensure drawing quality levels are maintained across a suite of design drawings
- Post specific physical capability analysis assessment
