What will you be doing?

You will carry out planned maintenance, fault-finding and defect rectification activities on plant and equipment, ensuring work is completed safely and efficiently. You'll also support continuous improvement initiatives and help maintain the high standards expected on a nuclear licensed site.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Liaising with customers and suppliers to support maintenance activities and resolve technical issues.
  • Diagnosing faults, investigating defects and implementing maintenance solutions.
  • Producing technical reports and supporting Safe Systems of Work documentation.
  • Mentoring apprentices, identifying improvement opportunities and deputising for the Supervisor when required.

Who are we looking for?

We're looking for an experienced Control & Instrumentation professional with strong technical knowledge and a proactive approach to maintenance. You will be able to work effectively as part of a team while maintaining high standards of safety, quality and compliance.

Essential requirements include:

  • Instrument Apprenticeship plus HNC in Engineering (or equivalent qualifications and experience).
  • Comprehensive instrument maintenance experience.
  • Ability to undertake responsibilities associated with relevant site authorisations.
  • Successful completion of the post-specific capability analysis assessment - Post specific capability analysis assessment
