Senior Engineer C&I

Vacancies have arisen within the Reactors engineering team for a senior engineer control and instrumentation (C&I).  The purpose of these posts is to manage and deliver the engineering process. The job holders will provide technical oversight and engineering quality.

Hear from the Hiring Manager:
Multiple senior C&I engineer positions have arisen in the Reactors programme engineering team.  These positions will bolster the current C&I resource and provide support to ongoing facility operations, decommissioning projects and asset management.

The near-term Reactors programme includes new build projects, continued operation of existing facilities and upgrades to support decommissioning works, all of which will require C&I support.  The successful candidates will work within a multidisciplinary team to support these activities, both contributing directly to activities and leading other engineers when appropriate.

As a senior C&I engineer you will have proven knowledge and experience in the delivery of C&I projects and providing plant support.  Due to the variety of work in Reactors, knowledge and experience of electrical engineering would also be beneficial for the role although not essential.  You will be fluent in the engineering processes used at the Dounreay site and be able to operate at all stages of the engineering lifecycle from initial requirement capture through to operational support.  Experience in design authority and intelligent customer roles is also desirable.

A senior engineer is the preferred level for this role, however, strong applicants at engineer level may also be considered.
